Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone.
Unfortunately, our first post this year brings some sad news. Lovely Hazel died just before New Year. She was a sweet placid girl and enjoyed a few months of comfort at rescue. She enjoyed some lovely sunny days on the lawn and was always first in the bowl for nuggets. She deteriorated suddenly just before New Year and had to be put to sleep. She will be missed and Hettie and Bob will now be looking for a home together as a pair.

2015 was a busy year for NEGPR. Not our busiest, but we had 93 guinea pigs come into the rescue (including those born in rescue) and 73 were adopted in to loving homes.

We start the year with Sherlock & Watson, Leon (Tipper), Hettie & Bob, Merlin, Tuppence, Hector & Digby, Dennis & Boris, Albert & Harold, Sparkle & Snowball, Ruby, Blanche & Connie, Molly and Noel & Humbug in rescue and available for adoption. Both Tuppence and Merlin will be meeting potential companions this week.

The long-term residents are all settled comfortably in the shed. Patches is not too well at the moment and will need further veterinary tests to try to identify the problem. She is almost 7 years old and not in pain and continues to be lively and eat well.

Thanks for all your support.
